TeX and LaTeX at RZG

RZG strongly recommends TeX distributions (TexLive suggested) to be installed locally on a user's workstation, preferably via the package manager provided by the operating system. In addition, a recent version of TexLive is installed on the visualization cluster. Note that it is not necessary to use the reservation system, log in to viz00.rzg.mpg.de via SSH to use TeX (issue klog first to obtain a token, before you cd into your AFS homedirectory). Note in addition that RZG does not provide support for TeX.
