The XDV Project

The goal of the XDV Project is the development of a Data Acquisition and Processing System for Fusion Devices.

The measured physical data has to be recorded, processed, transferred and saved completely in time.

Part of the data is needed for experiment surveillance and control immediately.

Most of the data has to be archived and made accessible for post processing. Therefore Analysis- and Visualisation-Tools must be provided.

The measured data must be processible during the lifetime of the experiment and until years later.

Hence, the System must guarantee flexibility, maintenance, longevity and adaptability to satisfy the needs of the fusion device experiment operators.
