Configuring a Windows-afsclient

  1. Download unconfigured version (MSI_Installer)  from http://www.openafs.org/windows.html
  2. Start the .msi file.
  3. Choose "Custom Installation":

  4. Uncheck "NetIDMgr Plugin", unless you know what you are doing

    AFS Install Disable NetIDMgr Plugin

  5. next ->
  6. Default-Cell is : ipp-garching.mpg.de, Disable "Freelance mode"

  7. next->
  8. Disable "Renew DriveMaps" :

    AFS Install DO NOT Renew drive maps
  9. From now on, just press next, just make sure, the item "Integrated Logon" is activated.
    It should be like this, by default, but better safe than sorry ;-)
